I have used my smart phone for absolutely everything. I would be lost without my smart phone. To begin, I use text messaging very often to communicate for numerous reasons. To communicate with my mom when I need to let her know I'm going to be home late, or when I need to text my friends to ask questions about homework, or even just simply asking how someone is doing. I love text messaging. I also use the apps like instagram and snapchat to update my friends and family on things going on in my life in a visual way. I would definitely recommend using social media accounts because I have linked up with numerous people through these accounts like family that lives very far away (Dubai, Lebanon, Etc). For professors, I would say to incorporate smart phones into in class activities because it will help us visualize things and kinesthetically process information. However, there is a drawback because these apps can be very time consuming and take your attention away from important things like homework and other important tasks.
